OUR MISSION
Visions of Science exists to transform communities, society, and the planet through equitable access to STEM.
STEM is everywhere.
Our most pressing challenges - from our health, to the economy, to the environment - require potent solutions rooted in STEM-based skills, literacy, and education.
Persistent systemic barriers impact and exclude some youth from full participation and opportunity. Everyday, we are losing out on untapped brilliance and innovation. We are missing the opportunity to harness their creativity and perspective, which can lead to groundbreaking discoveries and innovations.
OUR FOCUS
We are committed to advancing STEM equity by engaging Black and other racialized youth from low-income communities across the Greater Toronto Area who experience significant barriers to participation. Our goal is to disrupt this systemic exclusion that ultimately results in chronic underrepresentation in STEM education and careers.
We address these disparities and provide youth with the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed in STEM and beyond.

We engage youth at critical stages of development by facilitating robust, year-round, STEM learning pathways programming, strengthening broader networks of support, and advocating for systems that ensure equitable STEM education, employment, and opportunity.

We believe that when youth understand the possibilities within STEM and have unhindered access to explore every opportunity, they have the full power to choose how they contribute to shaping the world around them.
They are empowered with the relevant skills and knowledge to be leaders in their community, agents of change for society, and good stewards of the planet.
